Techrete wanted to transition towards renewable energy to support its ambition of reaching net zero emissions by 2030, while reducing rising electricity costs across its energy-intensive manufacturing site. With a large amount of unused roof space available, the company needed a high-impact solar solution that could generate cleaner electricity directly on site and deliver strong financial returns.
Our tailored solutions
AEI delivered a 320 kWp Solar PV system with an output guarantee, helping ensure that the projected savings would be achieved. Installed on Techrete’s available rooftop space, the system enables the company to generate a significant share of its electricity demand behind the meter, reducing reliance on grid electricity and supporting more predictable long-term energy costs.
The project is expected to deliver a 4-year payback with a 26% return on investment, while saving approximately 70 tonnes of CO₂e per year. By combining on-site cleaner electricity generation, strong financial performance and measurable carbon reductions, the installation helps Techrete take a concrete step towards its 2030 net zero target.
