The newly built Myrane sports hall and swimming pool on Askøy island, near Bergen, required a clean energy solution from day one. As a public leisure facility with high and continuous energy demand, the challenge was to integrate a high-performance solar system into the new building in a way that would meaningfully offset consumption and support long-term operational cost control.
Our tailored solutions
Solcellekraft, Wewise local company in Norway, delivered a complete 314.76 kWp rooftop solar PV system across the facility, comprising 516 panels, commissioned in October 2025. The system is expected to generate 249,800 kWh of clean electricity annually — a substantial contribution to the energy needs of one of Askøy's flagship public infrastructure projects.
A turnkey installation designed for performance from the very first day of operation, setting a strong precedent for sustainable public facilities in the region.
