As part of its renewable energy strategy, the City of Agen wanted to make solar power a priority for the local area. The project was integrated into the reconstruction of Stade Armandie, an emblematic rugby venue with over 100 years of history, with one major constraint: the installation had to be delivered within a tight schedule without disrupting the sporting season.
Wewise partnered with SEM Avergies to integrate a large-scale rooftop photovoltaic system into the stadium’s reconstruction project. The installation equipped the roofs of two stands at Stade Armandie, transforming a historic sports venue into a major local renewable energy production site.
Delivered through a third-party investment model with full resale of the electricity produced, the project combined technical, architectural and scheduling requirements. Completed in 2024, the installation reaches 894 kWp of installed capacity and makes Stade Armandie the most solarised rugby stadium in France.
