Hoffmann Logistik: combining rooftop solar and heat pumps for more efficient operations

Customer needs

Hoffmann Logistik wanted to implement a forward-looking energy concept for its new logistics hall in Philippsburg, combining sustainable electricity generation with a more efficient heating solution. The company needed a reliable partner able to design and deliver a solution that would improve on-site energy use, reduce long-term energy costs and add a new sustainable component to its existing solar setup.

Our tailored solutions

We developed and installed a rooftop photovoltaic system combined with a modern heat pump system, creating an integrated energy solution tailored to Hoffmann Logistik’s operational needs. By linking solar power generation with heating technology, the project helps the company increase self-consumption, improve energy efficiency and reduce its reliance on external energy sources.

The new PV system delivers 154.8 kWp of capacity and is expected to generate around 157,000 kWh of cleaner electricity per year. With a 30.6% self-consumption rate, the installation supports more efficient use of the electricity produced directly on site. In total, the project is expected to save approximately 74 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, showing how climate action and operational performance can go hand in hand.
