NUSS Logistik, a long-established freight and logistics company based in Wörth am Rhein, has embedded sustainability into every aspect of its operations — from Euro-6 low-emission trucks and driver training to telematics systems that reduce fuel consumption. Having installed its first rooftop solar system back in 2008, the company needed to modernise its existing installation and expand its solar capacity significantly to keep pace with its energy needs and sustainability ambitions.
Wirsol, Wewise local expert in Germany, delivered a new 486 kWp rooftop PV system across 2,960 m², comprising 1,800 modules, bringing NUSS Logistik's total solar capacity to nearly 2.5 MWp across four roof installations. The project required careful technical integration of old and new systems, certification across multiple installations and coordination with different direct marketing partners — a complex undertaking handled from planning through to ongoing operations management.
The result: 296 tonnes of CO₂ saved annually, reinforcing NUSS Logistik's position as one of the most sustainability-driven logistics operators on the Upper Rhine.
